Chainlink Labs Launches Real-Time Data Streams for Equities and ETFs

Chainlink’s Data Streams deliver live U.S. equities and ETF pricing on 37 blockchains with sub-second updates for DeFi innovation.
Chainlink Labs launched Data Streams for U.S. equities and exchange-traded funds, providing real-time market data across 37 blockchain networks. The service delivers live pricing for major assets including SPY, CRCL, QQQ, NVDA, AAPL, and MSFT.
The data feeds operate through Chainlink’s decentralized oracle networks, which aggregate pricing from multiple primary and backup sources. Each data point includes timestamps that enforce U.S. market hours and prevent outdated information. The system supports sub-second updates for major equities and ETFs.
DeFi protocols can now integrate onchain pricing for tokenized assets, enabling applications such as tokenized stock trading, perpetual futures, and synthetic ETFs. Current adopters include GMX, Kamino Finance, and GMX-Solana, which use the high-frequency pricing to build financial products.
The service includes market hours logic that aligns price updates with U.S. trading sessions. Staleness detection automatically suspends feeds when data falls outside freshness windows. The system connects multiple data providers through a decentralized delivery mechanism.
Independent oracle nodes fetch and validate inputs from premium data providers, process quotes through Chainlink’s decentralized oracle networks, and deliver structured onchain data packets. The architecture supports high-throughput updates and risk management features for DeFi applications.
Developers can use Data Streams to build tokenized stock trading platforms, perpetual futures contracts backed by U.S. equity prices, synthetic ETFs with multiple asset feeds, onchain lending markets that accept tokenized equities as collateral, arbitrage tools, and treasury management systems with synthetic market exposure.
The launch of Data Streams for US equities and ETFs is a critical milestone toward a truly composable onchain financial system that matches the scale and sophistication of traditional markets,
said Thomas Short, Co-Founder of Kamino Finance.
Chainlink Labs plans to extend Data Streams to additional markets and asset classes, including forex, commodities, and OTC markets. The expansion will allow DeFi developers to integrate a broader range of asset classes into tokenized markets, using the same high-frequency data feeds.
